What is the RESTORE Program?

RESTORE is a transformational one-to-one health coaching program unlike any you’ve experienced.

RESTORE is a cumulative framework developed from my twenty years of coaching hundreds of women just like you. I teach women how to create their unique road map to living in their best state of health, throughout all seasons of life.
RESTORE combines the science of metabolism and hormones with mindset and faith to reconnect your mind, body, and spirit. When you unite these three threads, you’ll be able to
achieve your highest state of health and well-being without the struggle.

RESTORE is a journey to becoming who you want to be when it comes to your health, instead of doing whatever it takes to achieve a result that’s not sustainable. You’ll stop obsessing about the superficial and reconnect with powerful virtues you have deep within you that make health feel like part of who you are rather than what you have to do.

As a Catholic Christian, I lead women through a faith-based approach to health restoration. We are all masterpieces created in God's image and likeness. Our bodies are exquisite works of art with the ability to heal, grow, and transform. I teach you how to lean into the virtues you already have within you — like curiosity, courage, and compassion. These virtues open the door to long-term health.

Everything I teach in RESTORE is focused toward long-term health and based on the latest scientific research and evidence. We don’t do quick fixes and whatever-it-takes diets. This work goes beyond superficial goals — you are going to become the healthiest, most joyful version of yourself. The framework is something you can come back to for life to balance your hormones, metabolism, and health.

Each week we’ll unpack a new health topic. You'll learn the science behind the health
principle, then we’ll dig deep to uncover your unique needs and craft a simple plan to experiment and explore small, manageable shifts that move you closer and closer to reaching your health goals.

The RESTORE weekly worksheets are invaluable tools! You'll revisit them again and again. This is where you learn the framework that you can use for life to help you bring each area of your health into balance. The worksheets also help us celebrate wins and keep a record of how our body is responding to the health shifts we’re making around nutrition, hydration, rest, sleep, movement, mindfulness, stress relief, and exercise.

You’ll get simple recipes to nourish your body with the correct balance of macronutrients and calories your unique body needs to thrive. RESTORE is about learning what your body needs from an energy and macronutrient standpoint and finding the simplest way to craft your meals and snacks to nourish your body. Nothing is off-limits!

These meal planning guides walk you through the process of learning to implement the Three P’s: planning, purchasing, and prepping nutrition.

That walks you through the seven RESTORE principles.

That teaches you how to nourish your body with the energy and macronutrients it needs to live in your best state of health and well-being. The RESTORE Nutrition guide will be your nutrition bible. It teaches you everything you need to know about the three macronutrients — protein, carbs, and fat (btw alcohol is actually the 4th macronutrient you’ll learn about that too). You’ll learn how each macro works in your body and how much your body needs. I'm not going to tell you what to eat. I am going to teach you what your body needs and show you what foods meet your needs.

That will help you find what works best for you in your current phase of life. Science teaches us that movement and exercise are hands down the biggest leavers when it comes to preventing disease and living a long healthy life full of energy and vitality. In the RESTORE movement and exercise guide, you'll learn the difference between movement and exercise. You’ll learn about the critical modalities of movement that will become the base
support to long-term health: stability & balance, flexibility, mobility, strength, and power. We’ll create a plan that works for you, doing things you enjoy.

You’ll get daily accountability, encouragement, and support in the Ann Hackman app. The entire RESTORE program is run in the Ann Hackman RESTORE app. With both mobile and desktop versions, you have everything you need at your fingertips: complete program content library, worksheets, meal planning guides, comprehensive program guide, nutrition, and movement and exercise guides. Here’s the weekly breakdown of health topics and virtues to give you an idea of how this exciting, one-of-a-kind approach to health fits together.

Week One

You hear the word metabolism thrown around a lot, most often associated with weight loss. It’s about so much more!

Your metabolism is your body’s energy production center. It does all the work when it comes to converting the food you eat into the energy you need. I’m going to help you understand the simple science behind it, so you can give your body what it needs to balance your hormones, sustain your energy, and maintain your healthiest weight.

Why Wisdom? Wisdom is lived. Learning about our bodies and then experimenting and exploring to find what works and sticks leads to wisdom.

Wisdom is so much more than knowledge. Yes, you’ll learn all about how your metabolism works in RESTORE, but even better, you’ll learn how to apply what you learn to your unique
physiology, psychology, practical life circumstances, and of course, your preferences. You’ll get comfortable with experimenting to find what truly works for you long term.

Week Two

You’ll learn about energy balance. Too few calories or a continuous surplus of calories negatively impacts health. You’ll learn what your unique body needs from an energy standpoint to feel AMAZING every day. 

Discernment is the key to finding what works best for you. Most humans make 250 decisions per day around food — whoa! You’ll learn a simple framework for these decisions based on current nutritional science that cuts your daily health decision-making by 70% and puts you on track to feel confident about every decision you make around food.

Why Discernment? It’s our judgment center. You’ll learn to make decisions by taking time to think, reflect, search your mind and spirit, and listen to your gut instinct and intuition.

With so many decisions to make daily about your health, having a framework to think through these decisions, set realistic expectations, and make a small manageable plan reduces overwhelm and decision fatigue. You’ll be able to implement and reach your health goals with greater ease and sustainability.

Week Three

You’ll learn three words that will change your life forever: assess, investigate, and modify.

This RESTORE framework kicks all-or-nothing thinking to the curb and shows you how to explore, evaluate, and implement until you find the perfect fit for you. Bye-bye all or nothing thinking, hello open mindedness!

Why open mindedness? Science is evolving every day. Everything we know about health, disease prevention, nutrition, sleep, movement, and stress has evolved and changed. Learning with an open mind and experimenting is key to finding the specific things that work for you.

Week Four

You’ll learn all about movement exercise modalities that will help you live a long active life no matter what season you’re in.

I’ll teach you the truth — based on science — about what's important, what's not, and how to create a movement plan that fits your lifestyle. You’ll learn that discipline doesn't have to feel difficult when you are doing what is actually right for you.

Why Discipline? A lot of people assume that discipline means restriction, but a small dose of discipline goes a long way in creating a lifetime of freedom.

Learn to find the proper movement and exercise for your unique lifestyle and practical circumstances. I have workouts in my app that you can explore. It's so essential for long-term health to find a movement that you enjoy that fits into your busy lifestyle.

Week Five

You’ll take a deep dive into understanding your lab work. We'll closely examine your family history, current labs, and lifestyle to create healthy habits that will support your long-term
health.

No more fear or confusion around lab work. You’ll know what you're looking at, what it's telling you, and what next step to take.

Why Knowledge? Knowledge is key when combined with wisdom. It gives women power over their health.

We can’t do what we don't know and understand. Labs are a powerful source of knowledge that helps us create a health plan for longevity, vitality, and the ability to knock life out of
the park!

Week Six

You’ll learn how your personal history impacts your health. We’ll take a journey through your life experience to better understand what stories around health you may be operating
from that no longer serve you.

Growing in the virtue of understanding will help you write your new health story moving forward, no matter what you've experienced in the past.

Why Understanding? It’s very hard to change a limiting belief or behavior when we don’t understand the root of where it began.

You’ll dive into the seed stories that may have been planted in your earlier years around health, nutrition, food, weight, and body image. This is beautiful healing work. It's hard to write our own health stories when we live from the stories handed down to us.

Week Seven

You’ll learn how to step out of your past stories around health and release the limiting beliefs that may be holding you back from living in your best state of health and well-being.

At this point in RESTORE, you’ll have learned all the knowledge needed around nutrition, movement and exercise, stress management, mindfulness, and the importance of rest and
sleep. Now, it's time to clear out limiting beliefs and old habits and patterns that can get in the way of your forward progress.

Why Truth? The truth breaks through our limiting beliefs around our bodies and our health. In RESTORE we find truth in faith and science.

We gain courage and strength knowing the truth about who God created us to be and how our magnificent bodies are wired to let us know exactly what they need. We gain confidence and clarity knowing the truth about the current science around health, metabolism, hormones, and lifestyle habits.

When you replace your limiting beliefs with truth, you can start rewriting your health story based on what is deeply true for you.

Week Eight

If you struggle with emotional eating, you're not alone. About 45% of women in the US report regularly overeating unhealthy foods in response to stress triggers.

You'll learn how to identify your unique stress triggers and explore new ways to shift your responses to support your health and well-being.

You’ll also learn how to identify emotional triggers that lead to unhealthy habit loops. These loops create the frustrating roadblocks that stop you from reaching your health goals.

Why Patience? Not only is patience a virtue, but it's also a skill that can be learned.

Patience creates space between your experience and your reaction. It allows you to persevere toward long-term health goals, learn from setbacks, and wait for your body to respond to new health habits.

Permanent change takes time — patience keeps you on your journey.

Week Nine

You’ll narrow down your top key health pillars around nutrition, hydration, sleep, stress management, self-care, rest, movement, and exercise that works for you.

At this point, you'll have had lots of time to experiment and will be ready to land on the specific tried-and-tested health habits that actually work for you. We’ll be focusing on growing in the virtue of prudence.

Why Prudence? Saint Thomas Aquinas gives us a simple powerful definition of prudence: Right reason in action.

The virtue of prudence is what helps take everything we've learned and act on it moment-by-moment each day with every health decision we face.

Week Ten

The science behind how gratitude impacts your health will blow your mind. Gratitude actually changes how our brains and bodies function.

Studies show that practicing gratitude increases psychological well-being, improves self-esteem, reduces impatience, and improves decision-making. All of these effects lead to both better physical and emotional health.

When you start to practice daily gratitude, making healthy, nourishing choices starts to feel natural and effortless!

Why Gratitude? Gratitude is an instant mood booster — it fills you up with joy!

Practicing gratitude increases positive emotions, helps you relish experiences, deal with adversity, and gives you hopeful optimism for the future. It's also a powerful tool to help you work through anxiety.

When we take time to appreciate and feel deeply grateful for our mind, body, and spirit, we lay the foundation for health.

Week Eleven

You'll gather up all of your key health pillars that we know work for you and create your RESTORE health road map.

This roadmap will be your daily compass and guide as you navigate health decisions. You’ll continue to use your RESTORE health roadmap for the rest of your life.

Why Trust? Trusting yourself creates a deep shift — it changes everything!

Week Twelve
